Michael has been involved with Business Critical systems (Tandem / HP NonStop) since 1985. Michael joined Sogeti in 1989 and by 2003 he had developed himself to the position of BCM Consultant – a subject about which he is very passionate. Michael has helped many companies to implement and/or improve their BCM capability. Due to his IT background he is also occasionally involved in IT Service Continuity assignments. Michael passed the DRII exam with merit in 2005 and has been affiliate member of the BCI since 2011. He is currently completing the CBCI/MBCI application process.Since presenting at the BCI conference in London in 2012 he has actively been involved with the promotion and development of BCM in the Netherlands. He has been a member of the BCI-NL Forum core team from its initiation. As well as helping set up the BCI BENE Chapter he is also the leader of 2 of the work groups, represents the BCI-NL Forum at the NEN BCM standards commission and is involved development of new standards.
