Jim started his career working for a computer manufacturer and became involved with Disaster Recovery and Contingency Planning. He chaired the Contingency Planning Working Group at the CSSA when it widened its remit to include Business Continuity.
He subsequently focussed entirely on Business Continuity working for one of the UK’s major financial institutions. Whilst he was there he defined, developed and implemented their Supply Chain Continuity Assurance programme.
In parallel he was a founding member of the BSi committee which developed the BS for Business Continuity and he participated in the development of the specification standard. He went on to chair their sub-committee that developed the published document for Supply Chain Continuity. This provided the core of the recent ISO standard on Supply Chain Continuity and he remains an active participant in discussions on this topic.He is now involved in a small consultancy providing Business continuity guid
