Iain Taylor Hon. FBCI
Iain has been within the business continuity and disaster recovery world for over 25 years working mainly in the finance industry. He retired in 2009 but is still an active member of the BCI and now does business continuity for fun occasionally assisting in the facilitation of crisis management and business continuity exercises and the mentoring of new practitioners to the industry. He is the Lead Assessor for the BCI, after his time as a member and latterly Chair of the old Membership Committee and then the Global Membership Council.He has held senior management positions within large international financial institutions and has chaired the CAP-RS, SGRS and IBM User Groups. He has been a member of the BCI since 1994, served on the BCI Board, and was awarded and Hon. FBCI in 2010 for his services to the BCI over the years and was awarded the European Industry Personality of the Year Award in 2013. Iain has also picked up awards at the annual CIR BC Awards, including Manager of the Year in 2003, Recovery of the year in 2005 and was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010.
